Project Description

Here is a video I filmed and edited alongside the California Waterfowl Association team to showcase the improved conditions at the Lower Klamath National Wildlife Refuge, thanks in part to the California Waterfowl Association and other conservation organizations coming together to fight for water rights in the area.

I got to see firsthand the terrible botulism conditions the birds were facing in the Lower Klamath area a number of years ago. It was a catastrophe, but there was a duck hospital set up and dedicated people working tirelessly to save as many birds as possible.

Klamath was turning into a desert, but through the hard work of conservation groups, the Lower Klamath has been restored with water, and the animals are returning and thriving. The message, however, is that water is still an issue, and organizations like the California Waterfowl Association must continue fighting to keep the water flowing.
